Surat :  A four-year-old girl tragically passed away after accidentally falling from the fourth floor of an apartment in Dindoli, Surat. The incident, which occurred in the Navagam area, has sent ripples of sorrow and disbelief among residents and the affected family.

The young victim, identified as Ankita, was the beloved daughter of Rahul Maurya, originally from Uttar Pradesh. The family resides in the Dindoli Navagam area, where Rahul, along with his wife and two daughters, leads a modest life. Rahul, the family’s sole provider, works in an advertising company to support his loved ones.

The heartbreaking incident unfolded while Ankita was playing with her younger sister on the apartment’s fourth floor. Unfortunately, her mother was unwell and resting in the adjacent room, and her father was occupied in the kitchen preparing a meal. Seemingly engrossed in play, Ankita moved to the balcony to continue her playful activities, carrying a snack with her.

Tragically, in the midst of this innocent play, Ankita accidentally fell from the fourth-floor balcony.

The father, Rahul, alarmed by his daughter’s cries, rushed to the scene immediately. Ankita was swiftly taken to the New Civil Hospital (NCH) in critical condition. Despite the medical team’s efforts, the young girl couldn’t be saved and succumbed to her injuries after a brief period of treatment.

The untimely demise of their elder daughter has plunged the family into deep mourning and sorrow. The loss of a child, particularly under such unforeseen and distressing circumstances, is an indescribable tragedy that has left the community grieving alongside the Maurya family.

This heartbreaking incident serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of child safety and supervision. It highlights the critical need for vigilance and caution, especially in residences and environments where young children reside.

The incident stands as a stark and solemn warning for parents and guardians everywhere, emphasizing the need for constant awareness and precautions to ensure the safety of children within residential settings.
