New Delhi : The first-ever India National Young Authors Fair, hosted by BriBooks and Education World, has concluded, having encouraged more than 100,000 students to publish their first books and embark on entrepreneurial journeys.

In addition to hundreds of hours of reading and writing, the fair gave young authors a tangible memento of their published works, a platform from which to share their stories, a chance to hone their craft, and the chance to launch their own businesses. There were schools from all over India represented, and many of them took home multiple awards. Among them were Cambridge School – Indirapuram, JBCN International School – Parel Branch, Apeejay School NOIDA, Modern Public School – Shalimar bagh, Birla Vidya Niketan, The Shriram Millennium School, Bal Bharati Public School, and The Heritage School – Vasant Kunj.

After the event, Ami Dror, founder of BriBooks, said, “We are thrilled to have organised the National Young Authors Fair and given an opportunity to young authors to publish their first book.” We’re praying that they come away from this with a passion for learning and an interest in starting their own businesses. “As the curtains close on the National Young Authors Fair, we can’t help but feel a sense of pride and awe at the incredible stories written by the children who participated,” said Bhavin Shah, CEO of Education World. We are grateful for the opportunity to witness firsthand the impact that writing can have on individuals and communities. We appreciate BriBooks’ dedication and professionalism in helping to make this event a success.

On March 25th, the winners of the jury awards and the year’s best-selling authors were honoured at an awards ceremony. Around 500 people, including jury members, young authors, and distinguished guests, showed up to the awards ceremony. The jury consisted of well-known figures such as Navyn Salem, founder and CEO of Edesia Nutrition, and Saul Singer, best-selling author and columnist.

Saul Singer, a member of the jury, said, “I am truly impressed by the talent and creativity of the young authors. It’s encouraging to see the next generation of artists and businesspeople taking the reins and making their voices heard. I hope to read more works by these aspiring authors in the years to come.

Tara Kumar, for “The Dead Alive and In Between,” Advik Yambalada, for “Lessons from the Animal Kingdom,” Dia Shangbag, for “Emotional Well-Being,” Utsa Banerjee, for “Riki and Her Dream,” and Tvarita Guliani, for “Princess of Beauty Island,” were all honoured with the Jury Award. The winner of the jury award, Tara Kumar, author of “The Dead Alive and In Between,” said, “Winning this award is a dream come true. It has inspired me to keep sharing my ideas with the world and writing. I appreciate BriBooks so much for giving me and so many other writers a platform to share our works with the world.

After the books were printed and published, young authors promoted their work through social media, public readings, and school events. Some authors sold over 1000 books in just 30 days. The best-selling authors included Dhairya Sudarshan with ‘Savi Our Saviour’, Keya Hatkar with Dancing on My Wheels’, Kshipra Moreker with ‘Learning From the Jungle’, Kunwar Vikram with ‘Nature Teaches Love’, Rudraang Goenka with ‘The Rise of The Great Insane’, Subasree Bharathi with ‘My Talking Cat’, Roohi Sharma with ‘Memories Miracles Magic’, Hiyansh Joshi with ‘The Rescue Rabblets’, Tania Boya with ‘The Journey’, and Tvarita Guliani with ‘Princess of Beauty Island’.
