Charchit Mishra Wins ET’s “Influential Personality Award East 2023” for Dynamic Leadership in Shipment & Logistics

Bhubaneswar : Charchit Mishra, the young and dynamic Director of Orissa Stevedores Limited (OSL), was honoured today at a grand event held at the JW Marriott in Kolkata by the Economic Times with the “ET Influential Personality Award East 2023” for his outstanding leadership in the shipping and logistics industry.

Mr. Peter Cook, the British deputy high commissioner, presented Shri Mishra with the honour.

This inaugural award, “ET Influential Personalities of EAST,” was created to recognise and celebrate the pioneers of eastern businesses. In an effort to properly recognise the unrelenting effort and awe-inspiring success of business leaders as a group, it has been endorsed by prominent corporate captains and industry specialists.

The extraordinary leadership of Shri Charchit Mishra has been an essential factor in all of OSL’s successes to date.

“I’m grateful and humbled to receive an award that speaks volumes, not just about me but about our journey as a company,” the young and dynamic director of OSL said upon receiving the honour. It’s proof positive of how expertly and gracefully we set sail into eastern India’s shipping, mining, logistics, and exports industries.

Shri Mishra continued, “This may be an award for me as a prominent figure, but there are always a number of people guiding my expertise and OSL towards eminence. Constantly pushing ourselves to the limit, setting new standards, and viewing obstacles as opportunities has been central to our pursuit of excellence. For me, nothing compares to the satisfaction of knowing that my efforts to improve the world have helped in some small way.

With the help of my team, I hope to keep making strides forward in the field. The members of the OSL team, who fit together like a puzzle, deserve this honour. It would be my honour and pleasure to carry forward this legacy and give back to the society as an organisation,” were the humble words of the young and enterprising OSL director Shri Charchit Mishra.

This recognition reinforces Shri Charchit Mishra’s contribution to the field of Shipping and Logistics as he has also been a recipient of the “Times Dynamic Entrepreneur of the Year Award” in 2022.

The young visionary leader has succeeded in creating a virtual monopoly with OSL with regard to the stevedoring operations at Paradip Port, India’s second-largest port in cargo traffic handling.

Notably, OSL is a significant stevedoring and cargo handling enterprise at the ports on India’s East Coast and presently manages more than 50 million tonnes of cargo across various industries.

OSL has been exhibiting its expertise in stevedoring, project cargo handling, C&F activities, custom house agency, steamer agency, etc,. In addition, the company has interests in a variety of industries, including mining, transportation, hospitality, dredging, and warehousing.
