RPO Surat announces Passport Tatkal drive to facilitate applicants on December 17

Surat (Gujarat) : The Regional Passport Office (RPO) has organized ‘Passport Tatkal’ drive to facilitate the applicants from the long tatkal waiting cycle on December 17.

In a press communiqué, RPO has informed the demand for passports is increasing from Surat and south Gujarat region and in its endeavor to reduce the long tatkal waiting cycle wihin one to three days in Tatkal category, the Passport tatkal drive has been organized on December 17.

The appointment released consisting of Tatkal and General appointment will be divided into 40% tatkal and 60% general. The RPO will not be releasing PCC slots. The appointments released on December 14 and the new applicants will be able to reschedule or prepone their appointments. However, this opportunity will allow only one preponement.

The RPO has stated that the applicants are advised to take decision carefully regarding preponement of appointments. IF the applicants fail to appear after rescheduling their appointment, he or she will have no other opportunity to reschedule or choose another date. The goal is to reduce the long waiting ycle for passport appointments and help applicants who are interested in getting an early appointment for passport.
