54th International Film Festival of India: Pankaj Tripathi starrer Kadak Singh Set For World Gala Premier in Goa

New Delhi : Wiz Films’ inaugural movie, Kadak Singh, will make its world gala premiere at the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), which begins on November 21st in Goa. The gripping thriller, helmed by Pink filmmaker Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, will be presented on November 22nd during the week-long festival in the ‘World Gala Premiere’ segment.

The whole ensemble will attend the event, lead by National Award-winning actor Pankaj Tripathi, who portrays AK Shrivastav, an official of the Department of Financial Crimes who wakes up in a hospital with no memory of what brought him there. Various individuals, including his own daughter, whom he does not recognise, tell tales about him and how he ended himself in the hospital. Shrivastav unearths the truth behind a big financial swindle that has taken the nation by storm by piecing together his scattered recollections and anecdotes about his bad connection with his family.

“I got this novel story idea 12 years ago and since then I’ve been working hard on the development of the film along with our director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and writer Ritesh Shah,” says Viraf Sarkari, Director of Wiz Films and one of the producers of Kadak Singh. “It’s been a journey of hard work, dedication, and passion, and I’m thrilled that it starts with a socially relevant film put together by a talented team of actors and technicians,” he exclaims.

Kadak Singh is a Wiz Films and KVN production in conjunction with Opus. It was produced by Wiz Films, HT Content Studio, First Step Movies, and KVN.

Pankaj Tripathi, Sanjana Sanghi, Jaya Ahsan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Dilip Shankar, Paresh Pahuja, and Varun Buddhadev appear in the gripping thriller, which debuts on ZED 5.

Avik Mukhopadhyay, a four-time National Award winner for Best Cinematography, is the film’s director of photography. Shantanu Moitra wrote the intriguing melody and background score.
