SGCCI Golden Jubilee Awards 2025 Set for April 16

Surat, Gujarat : The Golden Jubilee Memorial Trust of the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) has organized the Golden Jubilee Award event on April 16 at Platinum Hall in Sarsana. 

Vijay Mewavala, SGCCI president, president-elect Nikhil Madrasi, and chairman of the Golden Jubilee Trust Rajnikant Marfatia declared that the SGCCI celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 1990, after 50 years of service to industry and commerce.  Rajnikanti Marfatia, the then-president of the SGCCI, proposed establishing the Golden Jubilee Memorial Trust, which was founded in 1990.

The Golden Jubilee Trust bestows numerous awards in South Gujarat based on achievement in industry, entrepreneurship, innovation in production and the application of new technology, and academic excellence.  For the past 34 years, this group has given out prizes in a variety of categories, including Outstanding Business Person, Pollution Control, R&D, Energy Efficiency, and more.  Every year, the Trust distributes awards in a variety of categories within the South Gujarat region.

This year’s award ceremony will be attended by Rajya Sabha MP Govind Dholakia and Surat Mayor Daxesh Mavani.

A jury of recognized industry experts, educators, and social workers is appointed to present the Golden Jubilee Awards to deserving people.  This year, the Trust will present awards in 14 categories for 2023-24.  In addition, a Lifetime Achievement Award has been granted to an individual who has performed admirably on occasion and has done exceptional work in his or her profession throughout his or her life.

This trust has previously awarded the award to companies like Reliance Industries, L&T, Shell Hazira, Essar, Kribhaco, ONGC, NTPC, Sahajanand Industries, Godrej Industries, United Phosphorus Limited, Bardoli Sugar, and renowned industrialists like Sevantibhai Shah, Govindbhai Dholakia, V. As is customary, this year’s awards will recognize companies that have excelled in Surat and throughout South Gujarat.  The Golden Jubilee Memorial Trust receives donations from a variety of organizations, thus the awards have been named in accordance with the donors’ desires.
