Go First launches direct flights from Surat to Delhi, Bengaluru, and Kolkata

There are now five airlines serving Surat airport with the launch of direct flights by Go First.

Surat (Gujarat) [India], November 11 : From just a lone airline few years ago, Surat International airport is now catered by India’s top five airlines.

Go First, formerly known as GoAir on Thursday launched the direct flight from Surat to Bengaluru, Delhi, and Kolkata to further strengthen its regional connectivity in India. At present, the Surat International airport is catered by the top airlines namely Air India, Indigo, Spice Jet, Star Air, and Air India Express, with the direct flight connection to the important destinations across the country.

According to Go First officials, the maiden flight G8 2202 was flagged off from the Surat airport at 10 am and that it arrived in Delhi at 11:45 am on Thursday.

The addition of the new station will further reinforce GO FIRST’s robust network capacity and enhanced connectivity between Metros and Tier I cities, offering better choices for customers. The same-day return flight will enable passengers to better plan their travel and save time. This will give a much-needed boost to the region both in terms of business and leisure, a communiqué issued by Go First stated.

Surat will be connected to Bengaluru with one daily flight, two daily flights to Delhi, and one daily flight to Kolkata with connections to and from Hyderabad, Siliguri, Patna, Srinagar, Guwahati, Jammu, Maldives, Lucknow, and Ranchi.
