Surat : Diamond city will be witnessing the first ever ‘Exporters’ Conclave’ to celebrate ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mohatsav’ as part of the 75th anniversary of the country’s Independence on Sunday.
As the Government of India is celebrating Azadi Ka Amrut Mohatsav to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence, the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI), the Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), the Synthetic and Rayon Textile Export Promotion Council, Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) and the District Industries Centre (DIC) have jointly organised the ‘exporters’ conclave’ to promote various products and services and the government schemes to boost exports from Surat and South Gujarat region.
The Exporters’ Conclave will be held at the Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre (SIECC) at Sarsana on Sunday. Exporters from Surat and South Gujarat in huge numbers are likely to participate in the conclave, which is being organised for the first time in Surat.
Additional DGFT, Virendra Singh will remain present as the chief guest at the Exporters’ Conclave. Singh will be providing guidance to the exporters of South Gujarat and Surat regarding various export-related schemes of the government and other benefits offered by the DGFT.
Ashish Gujarati, president of SGCCI told TBT, “The Exporters’ Conclave is being organised for the first time. Exporters from Surat and South Gujarat will be attending the conclave on Sunday. Additional DGFT, Virendra Singh will address the technical session to provide information to the exporters regarding the government schemes, how to increase exports, products and services etc.”
Chairman of SRTEPC, Dhiraj Shah will be providing key information about the exports of synthetic rayon textile from India.
