Surat’s leading CAs felicitated by SGCCI on ‘Chartered Accountants Day’.

Surat.  The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) had organized a felicitation function of the known Chartered Accountants (CAs) from the city on the occasion of ‘Chartered Accountants’ Day’ on Sunday.

The event was organized at the  Surat International Exhibition and Convention Center (SIECC) at Sarsana where the leading CAs from the city remained present.

Dinesh Navadia, president of SGCCI said, “CAs have been playing an important role in maintaining accounts of traders and industrialists. Surat’s diamond industry is 100% export oriented business and CAs have a big role to play”

Navadia added, “Through the CAs, traders or industrialists can take advantage of various schemes of the government and move their business forward.  CAs have played a crucial role in contributing towards the development of south Gujarat’s trade and industry”

CA Jay Chhaira said, “If anyone is responsible for the growth engine of Surat city which has become a smart city from a commercial city, it’s the SGCCI and the CA association.  A chartered accountant does important work not only in tax and audit but also in valuation, insolvency, project financing and now cyber security.

Well-known CA in the city, Rupin Pachchigar said, “A CA is sought when it comes to filing returns, conducting audits and engaging in new financial activities. Hence, CAs are the companion of happiness.”

CA Hiren Merchant said there has never been such a program in the past and thanked the Chamber for honoring the Chartered Accountants.

Late Chartered Accountants– Ravindra Vepari, Ashwin Sanghvi and Y.B.  Desai—were given away with posthumous award.

The fathers and sons who are CAs including PM Shah and his son Hardik Shah, C.S.  Jariwala and his son Anuj Jariwala, Dhirjalal Tamakuwala and his son Dharmesh Tamakuwala, Rasesh Shah and his son Mehul Shah, Rupin Pachchigar and his son Anuj Pachchigar, Suresh Gandhi and his son Tejas Gandhi, Mitish Modi and his son Akshay Modi, Onali Saherwala and his son Ismail Saherwala and Hiren Diwan and his son Viraj Diwan and daughter were felicitated.

Among the women chartered accountants, Minaz Amalsadiwala, Alpa Christie, Parul Rudlal, Hema Mehta and Avni Desai were honored with the award.  Hitendra Modi and Tinish Modi, brother and sister who are chartered accountants, were honored with the award.

Renowned senior CA, IJ Desai was also awarded.

Chartered Accountants in the field of Service Sector, Private Practice Sector, Government, Semi-Government, Charitable Trust, Retired, Sports, Social Work, Sports, Unique Achievement, Trade or other fields in South Gujarat were honored at this special function of the Chamber.
